Dog friendly Courtyard Garden

This garden has been designed using resilient plants which will withstand being trodden on by dogs. 

Smooth Kandler grey paving stones create a stepping stone path. The plants have been planted into landscape membrane with smooth Scottish pebbles for a decorative finish. The materials are smooth and comfortable for dogs to walk on. The plants have been planted strategically to create a tranquil view from the house and terrace and to create dappled shade so the sun loving dog can lie outside and be protected from the strong sun.

Dogs are often outside in gardens more than the owners!

Key plants: Olea europaea (Olive), Sambucus nigra f. porphyrophylla 'Eva' (Black Lace), Mahonia eurybracteata 'Soft Caress', Hakonechloa macra, Geum 'Totally Tangerine', Pittosporum tobira, Rodgersia aesculifolia, Hylotelephium spectabile 'Iceberg' (Sedum).
